I, Cristiana, started my cattery in 1986, when my husband bought me a curly cat as wedding present (very original!), my first Devon Rex,  Rexel’s Frexel’s Arlene from Holland. 



We didn’t understand much about the breed Devon Rex and Arlene could be a beautiful or a very ugly cat. But as soon as we came back Italy, we went with her in Pavia Catshow. There she won, Best in Show kittens. We were very glad and Mrs. Stephe Bruin (an International FIFe Judge from Holland) suggested us to buy a husband for her. 



Mrs. Bruin knew  two Dutch breeders, Patty Klein and Huub Scholten, van Plezier cattery, that had a litter of eight (!) Devons. On April ’87 we went for the second time to Holland, and we were very lucky because we bought home Fredje Kadetje van Plezier.  They informed us how breed in a healthy way and search for ways to eliminate  the problem of 
spasticity in the Devon Rex. 



Fredje understood a little late that Arlene was his wife and not a friend and so in ’89 he mated Arlene. I still remember our first kittens (living yet) Obi wan Kenobi (black smoke), Orson Welles (silver tabby), Otaysonn Obedience (sealtabby point tonk.) and Oliver Black Fly (black smoke). 



In september of this year I obtained my cattery name “Degli Elfi” ( Of Elves).The year after  Arlene and Fredje gave me a second litter : 
Poltergeist degli Elfi (silver Tabby), Paladino degli Elfi (black smoke) 
and Principessa degli Elfi (silver tabby). 
I sold Principessa degli Elfi to Claudio Pizzurro of Rome. With her, he began his cattery “Cartoon’s”. Now Claudio is one of my best friends and Principessa is a Europeean Champion, a mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother of many Champions.



I am very happy and proud for WW04' WW05' CH.IGRAINE DEGLI ELFI.JW
that become, also this year, WORLD WINNER 2005 in Biella.
Last year during the Best in Show I was sick in my Hotel room and I had to stay away from the show and I listened to the results through my husband Dario's mobile.
But this year I was there.....
Having a World Winner one time is sufficient for a breeder's life but having two.....
However this isn't only my success but Our success. It is also of my dearest friend Marie Jensen (Q-T-Curls & S*Giggle's Cattery) and of our work together.
She must be very proud about Our GIC.GIGGLE'S GLADIATOR.
In Best in Show of World Show there were Nominated 3 daughters of Gladiator
(Tigro) and he always gave and give us so beautiful kittens that in very short time he will be DM.
